Specifications (and a few words of caution)Regarding power ratings:when it comes to computer speakers there are two types of ratings. The first is type used by many in the computer industry who wish to mislead people. These are ratings that are over-inflated and have no basis in reality. We have even seen ratings of over 600 watts for speakers selling for $20. This is a technical impossibility. Unfortunately, the Federal Trade Commission doesn't seem to be interested in enforcing honesty in power ratings. RSL will not engage in these deceptive practices, even if it means loosing sales to those people who only are interested in numbers (even if they're fictitious) at the expense of real-world quality. Our background is that of a hi-fi company. As audiophiles, we go by honest ratings. The RSL Digital Fidelity One is a powered 3-piece system employing high fidelity class AB amplification. Most computer speakers utilize class B that is not as distortion-free.
So, the true and honest ratings of the RSL Digital Fidelity One are as follows: If, for some reason, that does not sound impressive, ask yourself the following question: Why will sound fanatics spend thousands of dollars for triode tube amplifiers that are only rated at 7 watts per channel? The proof is in the sound quality. The RSL Digital Fidelity Ones not only sound great, but they can play loud without distortion. We back them with a total satisfaction guarantee.
